A shower of medals for Team Canada
Gymnasts from the Canadian junior and senior team had many opportunities to shine on the international stage during the month of March. They took home a veritable trove of medals and gained invaluable experience during renowned competitions such as the International Gymnix, the University of Calgary International Cup as well as the 2017 City of Jesolo Trophy.
International Gymnix 2017
Olympian Shallon Olsen took home the silver medal in the individual competition behind Japanese Hitomi Hatakeda. The newest addition to the senior team, Brooklyn Moors, for her part, grabbed third place on the podium. (Antoine Saito)
The Canadians were divided into two teams: Canada 1 (Victoria Moors, Jade Chrobok, Audrey Rousseau and Megan Roberts) and Canada 2 (Shallon Olsen, Sophie Marois, Megan Philips and Rose-Kaying Woo). They won the gold and the bronze, respectively, during the team competition. (Antoine Saito)

University of Calgary International Cup
Young Félix Dolci from Club Laval Excellence walked away with the gold during the junior individual all-around final thanks to outstanding performances on the apparatus, while capturing the silver on the horizontal bar and the bronze on the vault. (ALBSON Gymnastics Canada)
Québec gymnast René Cournoyer picked up no less than three gold medals during the senior apparatus finals. He had the best performances on the rings, the parallel bars and the horizontal bar. (ALBSON)
Anderson Loran obtained the same result as his teammate René Cournoyer on the horizontal bar, earning him a top spot on the podium as well. (ALBSON)
Evan Cruz finished third in the senior floor final with 13,650 points. (ALBSON)
Jeremy Bartholomeusz picked up 14,900 points on the vault to capture the gold in the senior final.

In the Junior category, the young Ana Padurario held onto her spot, advancing to the quarter finals on the apparatus. She earned a gold medal on the beam and a bronze medal on the vault for her spectacular performances. (Antoine Saito)
